The kid in all of us

With a strategy that revealed the eyes-wide-open wonder of a child, KNOCK ignited a larger-than-life holiday for Target’s major gifting season.

December 22, 2014. Minneapolis

Applying a panoramic zoom lens on the store’s footprint, the legendary Santa and his mischievous herd of reindeer crashed the party, popping out of ceilings and into the aisles of apparel, electronics, toys, home décor and Target’s own “Holiday Shop.” With collaborative inspiration from agencies David Stark and Lab Partners, we brought to life an entourage of character scenes that told a visually compelling story. 


The Downtown Minneapolis flagship store—just a stone’s throw from Target’s corporate headquarters—greeted guests to a specially designed display in its circular atrium: a giant multidimensional tree, complete with Santa, presents and blinking lights. Back inside, every signing detail, on down to each endcap’s topper bow, helped wrap up one of the most successful shopping seasons for Target.
